New Horizons May 9-31, 2008
This was the second solo exhibition for David Sorensen’s colourful Horizon series paintings.
These paintings explore different combinations of gesture, light and texture. They are atmospheric and reflective with changing, shifting colours.
David Sorensen was born in 1937 in British Columbia. He first studied architecture and then returned to school to study art under Jack Shadbolt. From 1981 - 2000 Sorensen was a visual arts professor at Bishop’s University, Quebec. He currently lives in Montreal.
Part of the year Sorensen lives, paints and exhibits in Mexico. Over his career he has exhibited extensively across Canada and internationally.
