Harold Klunder: New Works

New Works          May 5-27, 2006

“New Works” explored the abstract human form through the development of colour and organic shapes.  Complex, richly textured and extremely colourful, these marvelous paintings reflect the changing world and our important relationship with nature.

Harold Klunder is acclaimed as one of the finest abstract painters working in Canada today. Born in The Netherlands, Klunder has been painting professionally since 1970.  His practice reflects a diversity of interests including painting, printmaking, photography, performance and improvisational music.  His work is in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Musee d’art contemporain de Montreal and the Musee des beaux arts de Montreal.
