New Mural at VIA Rail

Moving Everything Everywhere All the Time 2012 now on view at London's VIA rail Station by James Kirkpatrick & Jamie Q

Digital print on aluminium composite panel, 2.74 x 4.58 m

In the summer of 2009, James Kirkpatrick and Jamie Q embarked on a creative book project that brought them through five Canadian towns and cities: Halifax, Sackville, Montreal, Toronto, and London. They called this project A Journey Through Time & Shapes.

The journey started in London, as the team began creating images for their book. The artwork Moving Everything Everywhere All The Time 2012, commissioned for the city’s VIA Rail station, is based on one of these images—one of a series of twelve paintings and collages that became the basis for their book.  The original collage measures only 23.3 x 43.5 cm, enlarged for the artwork on display at VIA to over 120 times its original size.
