Catalogue of Wanda Koop’s highly anticipated new series, Deep Bay. The paintings included in the exhibition were inspired by a 5 week-long stay at a secluded log cabin in Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba. The paintings included in the exhibition are landscape-based, while others are more metaphorical.
Wanda Koop is widely considered to be one of Canada’s most prolific painters. Over her 30 year career she has dedicated herself to the arts. She has travelled extensively, exhibiting in Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Brazil, Japan, the USA, Italy (in conjunction with 2001 Venice Biennale) and most recently in India and China.
