Opening Reception with Emelie Robertson on Saturday, September 19 from 7-9pm
Event is in collaboration with Nuit Blanche London
In Emelie Robertson’s new works on paper, the painted surface becomes a threshold for movement and observation, where perception entangles with intuition, recollection, and material. She is interested in navigating a delicate tension between material, memory, perception, and place.
Emelie Robertson, born in 1997, received her BFA from the University of Guelph in 2019 and her MFA at Western University in 2026. The Place Between a Feeling in July 2025 was Robertson’s first solo exhibition with the Michael Gibson Gallery. In 2023, Robertson was included in the group show How Was Your Fire at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound and has been recipient of an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation and the Canada Council for the Arts grants. She is from Geraldton, Ontario, and is a settler of French and Scottish ancestry.
