Roly Fenwick “Landscript”

Roly Fenwick “Landscript” December 1 – 30, 2006

“An attempt to sense & reveal Nature’s written language by interlinear translations, a non-location between the lines, allowing me to translate by shorthand a performance of forces”.  Roly Fenwick, 2006

The paintings reveal a hidden writing or script within the landscape.  Roly has looked at runes, Chinese characters and most importantly the marshes and woods of the Bruce Penisula to reference this work.  The exhibition was complimented by the Shaker furniture of Roly’s son Graeme Fenwick.
