Gathie Falk’s touring retrospective, “Revelations”, is now open at Glenbow at The Edison, Calgary until October 15

 

Revelations celebrates the work of legendary Canadian artist Gathie Falk and her contribution to art in Canada over the last 60 years.  This exhibition is organized and circulated by the McMichael Canadian Art Collection with support from the Government of Canada.

Revelations is an impressive collection of art created by well-known Canadian artist Gathie Falk, spanning more than 60 years.

Floating cabbages, glossy apples, grapefruits, cherries, flower beds and the night sky explode with playful and whimsical colours. Embracing the simplicity of everyday objects, Falk invites audiences to see the world with curiosity and wonder.

A visionary and experimental artist, Falk covers a wide range of art forms including video, sculpture, ceramics, painting and performance art.
